Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, making a purchase, or using any feature of CareerSuite AI, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using CareerSuite AI on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. The service

CareerSuite AI provides AI-powered tools for generating career documents including resume rewrites, cover letters, cold emails, and LinkedIn posts. The Service uses Anthropic's Claude AI model to generate content based on inputs you provide. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.

3. Accounts and registration

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
• You may not share your account or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Payments and subscriptions

Pricing

Paid plans are offered on a monthly or one-time basis as described on our pricing page. All prices are in USD unless otherwise stated.

Billing

For monthly subscriptions, you will be billed at the start of each billing period. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not prorate partial months.

Refunds

We offer a 7-day refund on monthly subscriptions if you contact us within 7 days of initial purchase and have made fewer than 5 generation requests. One-time credit purchases are non-refundable once credits have been used. To request a refund, email hello@careersuite.co.

Price changes

We may change prices at any time. For existing subscribers, changes take effect at the next billing cycle following 30 days' notice by email.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you. Access to paid features may be suspended until payment is resolved. After 14 days of failed payment your subscription may be cancelled.

5. Your content

You own your content. Any resume, text, documents, or other material you input into CareerSuite AI remains your intellectual property. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely to provide the Service to you. You represent that you have the right to submit your content and that it does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

6. AI-generated outputs

• You own the AI-generated outputs produced from your content.
• We make no warranty that AI outputs are accurate, complete, or suitable for any specific role.
• AI may occasionally produce errors or content that is inappropriate for your situation. You are responsible for reviewing and editing all generated content before use.
• We do not guarantee that generated resumes will pass any applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Using AI outputs without review may be considered misrepresentation in some employment contexts — you are responsible for how you use generated content.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use CareerSuite AI to:

• Generate false, misleading, or fraudulent career documents (e.g. fabricating employment history or qualifications)
• Impersonate another person
• Upload content that contains malware or harmful code
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or scrape our Service
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Circumvent any usage limits or access controls
• Resell or sublicence access to the Service without our written permission

Violation may result in immediate account termination without refund.

8. Intellectual property

The CareerSuite AI name, logo, website design, and underlying software are our intellectual property and may not be copied or used without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you.

9. Disclaimers and limitations of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 3 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE CLAIM.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing us at hello@careersuite.co. We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if we believe you have violated these Terms or engaged in fraudulent activity. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales, Australia. Before initiating legal proceedings, you agree to contact us first and give us 30 days to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
